products: monochrome ceramic tile leaves

Decorative ceramic tile, custom hand made tile for unlimited possibilities

If you are looking for a natural, yet neutral ceramic tile leaf alternative, check out some of our monochrome ceramic leaf tiles. The ceramic leaves shown below have had their veins stained with a Tiger's Tale to match the field tile in this tiled kitchen back splash.

Ceramic tile leaf border

Remember, ALL of our handmade, decorative, fully vitrified ceramic tiles can be used virtually anywhere and are ALL 100% customizable ceramic tiles. That means you have the flexibility to use our mosaic tiles / shaped tiles in ANY configuration!

A beautiful monochrome ceramic tile leaf backsplash with an Eastern mix, including tulip shaped leaf tiles, white oak tile leaves, sassafras shaped leaves, rosebud leaf tiles, tile ash leaves, witch hazel leaf tiles, and walnut tree leaf tiles.

This mosaic tile kitchen back splash is soft and beautiful. My client wasn't sure what to do for the listel border, so I suggested that she integrate some of her small square glass tiles into the border. She placed a few in the leaf shaped tile area as well. Gorgeous!

Another beautiful monochrome look is this mix of green leaf ceramic tiles/ mosaic leaf tiles.

All of our decorative, handmade ceramic tiles are 100% custom. Because of this, we require paint store paint swatches from you. We don't have a color chart. That way you get what you want, not what we have stocked.

stone-like monochrome kitchen leaf tile backsplash

Another beautiful travertine leaf tile design was achieved by the use of 3 clay bases. These leaf tiles use tan and off-white clay bases that are marbled together to lend a stone-like appearance.

Ceramic tile leaf kitchen back splash

As you can see in the picture below, the leaves have a very stone-like appearance, but are actually a fully vitrified ceramic tile. Mocha Fudge stain was rubbed into the veins of these tile leaves to emphasize the leaves veins in these handmade ceramic tiles. A wonderful color match to this travertine stone tile. Thanks M. Christenson for the skillfully taken pictures!

a truly classic and elegant kitchen backsplash

This is one of my favorites. It is very similar to the ceramic tile leaf pictures above, but these tile leaves are stained with an underglaze called Buck Nake~d. Subtle shading for a very elegant, yet classic ceramic tile backsplash. We also can make the long thin border tiles.

Classic ceramic tile leaf kitchen backsplash design in off-white and Buck Nake~d glaze

Subtle, pure beauty is the only way to describe the gorgeous decorative ceramic tile leaves. Hints of airbrushed green and teal tones with forest green veins grace these these leaf tiles giving them a very cosmopolitan, classic feel. A perfect addition to any home.

Ceramic tile leaves with green stained veins that were airbrushed with 2 shades of green to add a bit of interest, yet maintain a very classic look and feel.

a monochrome — airbrushed ceramic tile leaf bathroom floor design

This is another amazingly beautiful ceramic tile leaf floor design called Leaves in Stones. It was a small 3 SF leaf order, but it went a long way. It can be found on two separate bathroom ceramic tile / stone floors. These realistic leaf tiles have burgundy vein and a bit of light burgundy airbrushing for added dimension. This is one of my favorite ceramic tile glazing techniques. It adds such richness to the monochrome leaf tiles.

Ceramic tile leaves in stone

Beautiful ceramic tile leaves using comfrey, fig, oak, and fern leaves. The leaf tiles veins were stained with a brown and the tile leaves themselves were airbrushed in burgundy. The client set these handmade, decorative leaf tiles in polished stone.

The clay base is a cream ceramic tile base to add a hint of yellow/cream to the burgundy tile leaves. These ceramic tile leaves blend beautifully with the tile rocks used to highlight the tile leaves. Bang up job Nanci M. of Sacramento, California!

"I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my tiles!!! Anyone who has ever come over says that it really makes our house seem special. I love going home after a long day at work. I can't help but to smile!!" Jules Thomas, Tokyo, Japan

a timeless and classic coloration — off-white with a buck-nake~d veins

Our tile leaves are made using real leaves. Just look at the veins in this blood root leaf that was used to make this leaf tile....amazing! Our leaf tiles are the most realistic ceramic tile leaves in the ceramic tile industry because of this design technique.

Blood root ceramic tile leaf

Tile leaves shown above are maple, cottonwood, clary sage, oak leaf hydrangea, hydrangea, oak, comfrey, blood root, and hosta leaf tiles.

I like to use leaves with good vein structure for our monochrome leaf tiles. The stains in the veins are more predominant with good vein structure. Maples and oaks have weak structure but are popular for their shape.

Check out our NEW goldfish aquarium ceramic tile design and our tropical monochrome designs using the same monochrome glaze technique.

monochrome ceramic tile leaf border

Another of my favorites is this monochrome ceramic tile leaves / leaf border It has subtle changes in tones. Lavender / gold / tans / beige / gray  — only in the ceramic tile leaf veins! Still classical, yet just a hint of color.

ceramic tile bathroom with monochrome leaf tiles

This is another beautiful monochrome-style leaf ceramic tile. The ceramic tile leaves on this bathroom tiled floor and shower tile border / bathtub tile border were painted / glazed to match the clients travertine / porcelain field tiles.

The leaf tiles above were made from an off-white claybase. The veins were stained and then the remainder of the ceramic tile leaf was painted using a sponge and dry brush technique. Later a top coat of clear satin was applied.

Don't forget...ALL of our tiles are 100% customizable to coordinate with your decor!

ceramic tile leaf kitchen floor in monochrome tones

The picture below is a fine example of a well-coordinated room. Even the cat's monochrome coat matches these ceramic tile leaves and field tiles.

See our Film Mounted Tile link in the right column for this ceramic tile leaf floors complete installation!

The picture above shows tan-based ceramic tile monochrome leaves. Most people opt for a white-based leaf tile, but, depending on their granite or field tile, it might be nicer to use a different clay base for a monochrome leaf tile. This creates a seamless transition between the field tiles and the leaf tiles, blending the countertop / floor / walls with the tile leaves.

Like all of our tiles, these tile leaves are fully vitrified to last for generations and can be used on walls, floors, showers, pools, and fountains. They are FULLY vitrified with a low porosity meaning they are also FROST-FREE.

ceramic tile leaf fireplace

My monochrome leaves lend themselves to a variety of applications and designs. Just look at this monochrome leaf tile fireplace in a log home. It's simple, yet soft, and timeless.

ceramic tile leaf tile leaves fireplace

These ceramic tile fireplace leaves are still considered monochrome, but are actually shaded, two toned leaf tiles. Half of the fireplace ceramic leaf tiles are Fur Ever Green with a Kermit Green airbrushed shading.

This is an example of green monochrome ceramic tile leaves in a mosaic fireplace design. A dark charcoal sanded ceramic tile grout was used; one of my favorite colors of grout. It makes the leaf colors pop in this fireplace leaf ceramic tile design. The border ceramic tiles were also created by Tiles with Style.

Ceramic tile leaf fireplace in greens

Soft hues of dark green were used for this fireplace ceramic leaf tile mosaic. Depending on the color grout, you can get a different look and feel. The leaf ceramic tiles below are one of our many sample boards available to local designers and architects to show their clientele. This board using a mid-toned green ceramic tile, sanded grout.

leaf leaves ceramic tiles mosaic decorative

You might as where I get green grout to use with my handmade, decorative, custom ceramic tile leaves / leaf tiles? I order cement dye from Direct Colors. See our FAQs page for more detail.

NOTE: If you like these green custom ceramic tile leaves, send us a paint swatch of the green you like for your next monochrome leaf tile order and we'll match to YOUR color as close as possible.

The example below shows a multi-tonal blend that consists Oliveoyle, Indian Summer and Black that is tinged on the edge of the kitchen ceramic tile leaves. Still monochrome, but with some additional character.

The tile leaf kitchen backsplash tiles above consists of a multitude of different ceramic leaf tiles that were underglazed with soft colors to match a 1"x1" stone kitchen backsplash tile. The leaf tiles were overglazed with a satin finish.
