ALWAYS seal your tiles and the mortar/concrete, especially in cold climates where frost and freezes occur. If molds/mildew get behind a tile they can pop the tiles loose and you will have to clean and reinstall your tiles!
NOTE: If you live in a cold weather climate where there is snow. I DO NOT recommend using ANY ceramic tile on a sidewalk or driveway. Shovels will catch the edges of ceramic tiles an possibly chip the tiles.
